Athanasios G. Kanatas received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 1991, the M.Sc. degree in Satellite Communication Engineering from the University of Surrey, Surrey, UK in 1992, and the Ph.D. degree in Mobile Satellite Communications from NTUA, in February 1997. Professor George P. Efthymoglou
George P. Efthymoglou received the B.S. degree in physics from University of Athens, in 1991 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Florida Atlantic University, USA, in 1993 and 1997, respectively. From 1993 to 1997 he worked as a telecommunications consultant and offered lectures on the theory and simulation of digital communication systems to employees of companies such as Motorola, Lucent, Harris Corporation, AT&T, and IBM.
